  • Do you provide lodging/meals on Saturday nights for campers enrolled more than one week? Yes! Parents/Guardians can choose to have campers sleep on or off campus Saturday nights between sessions.

  • What do campers do at Amplify? Amplify Sleep Away Camp is a unique overnight summer program (offered for four weeks during the summer) where girls 10-17 years old choose a creative arts track and learn technical, creative, and communication skills individually and with groups. Each day, campers attend group and private lessons, fun and creative workshops, enjoy free time, and hang out with new and old friends. Delicious and healthy meals accommodate various dietary restrictions. Lodging at two to three campers per dorm room is provided. More details for campers and their adults here.
  • What are the three different creative arts tracks? Campers choose one track for each week they are enrolled:

The Music Track: Choose one instrument (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, or keys), form a band, write an original song, and perform it at the Saturday Showcase.

The Photography and Film Making Track: Girls learn extensive photography and film making skills. Highlights include filming and directing a music video and learning photo editing. Each student will have an opportunity to have their piece published online and to start building a professional portfolio.

The Journalism Track: Learn the ins and outs of journalism. Each student will have an opportunity to have their piece published online and to start building a professional portfolio.

MISSION

Our mission is to empower girls through music education, creative expression, and performance, promoting an environment that fosters self-confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Girls Rock Santa Barbara does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national and/or ethnic origin, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability, or gender identity/expression in the administration of any of its educational programs, admissions policies, financial aid, and other camp-related policies and programs, as well as volunteer and employment related policies and activities.

WHAT OUR MISSION AND NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY MEANS TO US:

We believe every girl should go to GRSB programs. We recognize and welcome all self-identified girls and non-binary conforming youth regardless of their ability, identity, and background. If you feel you belong at Girls Rock Santa Barbara programs, you are welcome. Our programs are inclusive and exist to eliminate and reduce effects of discrimination against all girls. All of our female identified mentors have a number one goal to help our campers build self-esteem through music education, creation, performance, and life skills development workshops led by strong female mentors.
